Driver Clubs and Associations

Local Electric Vehicle (EV) driver clubs have developed in Florida, and are typically active, organized groups of EV owners and supporters with a passion for vehicle electrification and motivated by the desire to increase EV adoption in their communities. Through events, social media, and other tools, these networks can reach hundreds of their neighbors, educating and engaging these potential EV buyers. They can also educate local decision-makers about best practices and EV friendly policies that can support EV adoption by consumers, businesses and government.

Electric Vehicle Association: The Electric Vehicle Association (formerly the Electric Auto Association) is North America’s leading volunteer organization that accelerates the adoption of electric vehicles by supporting its 100 chapters and thousands of members as they educate their communities about the benefits of driving electric. Our chapters are the heartbeat of the Electric Vehicle Association. They play a vital role in demonstrating that there is an electric vehicle for every lifestyle by annually hosting hundreds of grassroots educational events and test drives. All members no matter their knowledge level are encouraged to attend or volunteer at our events.

In addition, there are other EV clubs that support education and awareness about vehicle electrification.

Two Florida Clean Cities Coalitions have formed local EV Committees to support the efforts of Drive Electric Florida:
