The NextCar Pledge is a way to demonstrate your support for electric transportation and build regional support for electric vehicle (EV) policy and car choices.  By signing this pledge, you are making a promise to learn more about EVs.  The transition to electric driving is needed because fossil fuel cars now account for more carbon emissions than all our power plants combined. Additionally, today’s economics are such that electric and hybrid cars cost less over their lifetime and are less expensive to maintain and fuel than the historical fossil fuel cars. By signing up, you are joining a movement of fellow citizens who support cleaner transportation and helping influence carmakers and decision-makers.
